Kudos for new Masters: Congratulations on this great achievement!!

NABC Master:  Pat Peck

Life Master:  Larry Smith

Bronze Life Master:  Aloma Hoover

Remember and plan for the May Lexington Sectional Tournament May 14 – 16 at the Ramada Conference Center on North Broadway at I-64/I75.  Max Hoover is Tournament Chair with Jim Brucker doing Partnerships.  And don’t forget to be part of it all by signing up to bring something on Saturday.

Our first Member-Guest Night was a huge success with 7 full tables!   Many thanks to all those who participated!  Everyone seemed to have a great time! We plan to have another Member - Guest Night later in the year on a Tuesday Evening.

Wacky Wednesday Evenings have gone back to pairs games except for 5th Wednesday evening in the month which will be a mentor/mentee game with less than 300 points.  Effective Wednesday Evening April 28th, our game time moves back to 7:00 PM.   This coming Wednesday will be a Charity pairs game with big points!  It would be most helpful for the players coming from out of town if you let Georgia Ringo know that you are planning to play by signing the evening sign-up sheet at the club or e-mailing her as far in advance of the game as you know your plans.  Georgia can then send out a note ensuring the game.

The Cookbook is due at the printer by May 1 and is ready to go.  The printer’s schedule says it should be back by late July.  Claudia is still taking pre-orders.  Get your orders in now.  They’re going to be great gifts, and they are the source of income we will use to purchase the electronic scoring machines for each table. So order some for your friends and family.

We are pre-registering for Summer Bridge Camp which will be held during the month of June (see our web site for more info.)  Pre-registration is not a requirement, it just makes it a little easier on the first night of camp.  We have 10 campers registered already, so it looks like it will be another successful camp.

Check the May Calendar for the dates of the many Club Championships that are being held during the month and plan to play on those days. Points! Points! Points!

8 is Enough is back to Sunday evenings for the Summer months.  The next one is May 30th with potluck at 5:30 and the Junior Fund Game at 6:00.  It will be 5 rounds of 6 boards.

There will be an International Fund Game at11:30 Thursday, May 13th.    Remember they cost $1 more.

The Worldwide Bridge Contest is Friday evening June 4th at 7:00 PM if 5 or more tables sign up.  This is the game during which all pairs players worldwide play the same boards.  So you’ll be playing the same boards as Suzy Wong and Mei Lee. Cool! Please sign up at the club or let Sondra Holt know if you can play in this game.

Watch for NAP qualifying games to be held June through August.
