Presenting:  Your 2010 Lexington Bridge Club Board of Directors.

President – Sondra Holt

Vice President – Lynn Frederick (Newly elected)

Secretary – Ken Katen (Newly elected)

Treasurer – Tom Spielman

Facilities Chairman – Mike McCann

8 is Enough:   This month's game will be held on January 17th with the potluck at 5:30 and the 8 is Enough Swiss National Charity Game being held at 6:00.  That means the game will be $1 more.

Kudos! Kudos! Kudos!   Congratulations to new Junior Masters Sandra Kestner, Jane Rummell, and Russell Whitney.  I've heard the first 20 are the hardest.  Keep up the good work.

Special Events :

t Remember the Cabin Fever Sectional on January 22, 23 and 24 at the Ramada Conference Center on North Broadway.  Better organize your pairs and teams now.

t We are contemplating whether or not to stay open during Gatlinburg Week in April.  Please sign up at the club if you would be interested in playing in a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday Open game if we can find Directors.

t Starting in February your Club is going to reinstitute a Mentor/Mentee (<300 mps) one Tuesday night a month.  Mentors play free!

t Your Board is also planning for a Member-Guest game one Tuesday night each  quarter.  Guests should be someone who has zero master points, so bring  your party bridge friends and play with them.  (Guests play free the first time they play.)

t The Dayton ST@C week normally held at our club in January will be moved to March 8 – 14, 2010.  Dayton made this schedule change because of January schedule conflicts.

Thanks… again to all who made donations for the expansion and renovation of our Lexington Bridge Club in 2009!  Your donations were greatly appreciated.  Remember, however, that while our Club is an IRS approved 501(c) (7) non-profit corporation, donations and contributions made to the Club ARE NOT tax deductible.
